The excavation which is still on going initially started in 1995 by the joint initiative of
the German Archaeological Institute and The Museum of ?anliurfa. Göbekli Tepe is
the legacy of a civilization that is far advanced than ours. This legacy is being slowly
brought to light in Urfa, a town in Anatolia.
The roots of this civilization date back to a prediluvian age. The most important
evidence for this is the fact that the temple ruins in “Göbekli Tepe” date back 12,000
years. This date coincides with the date Atlantis had sunk.
The first settlement of the Sabians who are connected to Prophet Muhammad is the
Harran region of Urfa where the aforementioned temples are located. Sabians went
to an area near Mecca at the time of the toils of Prophet Muhammad and they later
